News

Magic Kingdom
  • Starting March 13 and lasting until May 30, Guests at Magic Kingdom will be able to enjoy The Diamond Horseshoe for lunch or dinner daily. Guests will start their meal with a Frontier Salad topped with roasted corn, corn bread croutons and housemade chipotle-ranch dressing. Guests will then have a choice of one of the following:
    • Barbeque pulled turkey, served over corn bread with seasonal vegetables
    • Spit-roasted ham, served with country beans and seasonal vegetables
    • Stewed beef, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
For dessert, Guests may choose to indulge in a campfire brownie or apple tart. Pricing is $33 plus tax for adults and $19 plus tax for children ages 3-9 years.

General Walt Disney World News


  • Disney has added seasonal pricing to its theme park tickets. Here’s the easy breakdown of how it will work. Each month will be divided into value, regular, and peak days. If you’re visiting in September, you’ll pay value pricing for your park ticket. If however, you want to visit around Christmas week, you will pay peak pricing. Rumors
  • MAC Cosmetics, Anthropologie, Superdry and Free People are the latest to join the growing list of tenants expected to open this Spring in the Town Center section of the shopping district.
  • Is Ample Hills Creamery coming to Disney's BoardWalk?
  • Rivers of Light is rumored to debut in April

News

Magic Kingdom

  •  Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire will make its debut on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage this summer and will feature Mickey Mouse and favorite characters and songs from “The Princess and the Frog,” “Tangled” and “Frozen.” Dream Along With Mickey will have its last performance on April 2.


Epcot

  • The 21st Epcot International Food and Wine Festival begins this year on September 14 and runs through November 14.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Two new character greeting experiences will debut this spring. In Echo Lake Guests can meet with Olaf in a summer themed background in the new Celebrity Spotlight.  Additionally, another meet and greet will be added called Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams, found just off Commissary Lane near Sci-Fi Dine-In where Guests will walk the red carpet and step into a scene with Tinsel Town starlet, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse portraying his iconic role of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice from “Fantasia.”
  • Two new Star Wars experiences are headed to the park beginning April 4. Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away will be a new live, stage show celebrates iconic moments from the Star Wars saga featuring popular Star Wars characters, such as Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Darth Maul. There will also be a Stormtroopers march where at various times each day, where Captain Phasma will lead a squad of First Order stormtroopers in formation from Star Wars Launch Bay to the Center Stage. 
  • This summer, there will be a new nightly fireworks and projection show called Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will feature Star Wars-themed fireworks, lasers, light projections and other special effects combined with Star Wars-themed music and iconic characters and scenes from throughout the saga.

News

Magic Kingdom
  • Through February 27, Guests can make same-day reservations for lunch and dinner at the Jungle Skipper Canteen.

Epcot

  • Princess Aurora at France, Winnie the Pooh & Friends at the United Kingdom Pavilion, and Chip & Dale outside Character Spot are no longer meeting guests.
  • The Egg-stravaganza returns to Epcot from March 2-27. 


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • A few restaurants have changed menus. Eight Spoon Cafe, formerly known as Beastly Kiosk, has removed the jalapeño pretzel and lobster macaroni and cheese dish, Harambe Fruit Market has removed the jalapeño pretzel, Chakranadi, formerly known as Maharajah Pretzel, has removed the jalapeño pretzel from the menu, and churros are no longer available.
  •  Kali River Rapids has extended its refurbishment into March.
  • The Boneyard in DinoLand U.S.A. will be temporarily closed for refurbishment from February 22 - March 18.
Disney Springs
  • The Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs will transition Zoey & Pickles into a new shop known as Disney Travel-Accessories-Gear, or Disney TAG. Disney TAG is expected to open in the Marketplace Co-Op on March 11. Zoey & Pickles’ last day of operation is February 21.
  • Mickey’s Pantry at Disney Springs will undergo refurbishment beginning February 29 and will reopen March 15.


Rumors

  • Getting more confirmation that Dream Along with Mickey is going to be leaving the Magic Kingdom soon.

  • The full list of artists have been announced for the Garden Rocks Concert Series for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. The list is as follows:
    • March 4-6 – The Orchestra starring former members of ELO “Evil Woman”
    • March 11-13 – Starship starring Mickey Thomas “We Built This City”
    • March 18-20 – Little River Band “Reminiscing”
    • March 25-27 – Village People “Y.M.C.A.”
    • April 1-3 – Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone “I’m Henry the VIII, I Am”
    • April 8-10 – The Guess Who “American Woman”
    • April 15-17 – NEW! Blood, Sweat & Tears featuring Bo Bice “Spinning Wheel”
    • April 22-24 – NEW! BRIAN HOWE, former lead singer of Bad Company “Can’t Get Enough”
    • April 29-May 1 – NEW! Georgia Satellites “Keep Your Hands to Yourself”

Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Club Disney is now a seasonal attraction. 
  • Guests visiting the Star Wars Launch Bay are now able to interact with Kylo Ren, the villain from Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the bridge of his First Order Star Destroyer.


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • Guests who visit will be able to become an honorary member of the Lion Guard with The Lion Guard Adventure, a self-guided experience that encourages Guests to protect the environment and care for animals. Guests can do this by finding small statues of some of the characters from the TV show. Once you have found all the statues, you will need to return your map to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you will take a special pledge to become an honorary member of The Lion Guard and receive a special button. Guests will have the opportunity to do this activity through early April.

Rumors

  • Aurora, Chip & Dale, and Pooh & Tigger meet and greets are potentially leaving Epcot on February 14.
