Magic Kingdom


  • Several Magic Kingdom table-service locations will expand their menus to include more alcoholic beverage selections. Starting on December 23, Tony’s Town Square, Liberty Tree Tavern, Jungle Skipper Canteen, and Cinderella’s Royal Table will offer beer and wine. The beverages have been specially selected and will be the ideal pairing with each restaurant’s unique menu and cuisine.  There are no plans to add alcoholic beverages to other Magic Kingdom locations at this time.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
  • This January, Guests will be able to take part in the new Star Wars Guided Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The seven-hour guided tour will be led by a tour guide knowledgeable in Star Wars info. The tour costs $129 per person and tours begin January 2 and will be offered on Mondays and Saturdays. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. During the tour Guests will:
    • Watch Star Wars: Path of the Jedi film
    • Experience Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show and March of the First Order from a reserved viewing area
    • Train in the way of the force in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple (for Guests ages 4-12)
    • Blast off in Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
    • Enjoy Star Wars-themed eats at Backlot Express
    • Encounter two Star Wars characters – Chewbacca and Kylo Ren – at Star Wars Launch Bay
    • Explore immersive special exhibits with an up-close look and guided tour of replica props, models, concept art and artifacts from the Star Wars films in Star Wars Launch Bay
    • Enjoy Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party.
    • Cap off the day with reserved viewing for the nighttime spectacular Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
    • Take home a piece of the saga with a personalized souvenir
Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • For a limited time, Guests can enjoy quick-service breakfast options at Restaurantosaurus in DinoLand U.S.A. through December 31. Restaurantosaurus will serve up Mickey waffle platters, in addition to a premium topping bar featuring 12 different condiments. The toppings include: warm syrup, whipped butter, walnuts, warm cinnamon apples, warm cherries, warm bananas foster, warm caramel, warm chocolate sauce, strawberry topping, whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate chips. In addition to the waffles, Restaurantosaurus will also offer breakfast cereals with milk, yogurt parfaits and fruit cups.
  • Guests can join Donald and his friends for a dance party in DinoLand U.S.A. through December 31.
General Walt Disney World News
  •  Beginning on December 21 and continuing through January, Annual Passholders will be able to enjoy easy access to the parks with special Passholder lines found at the main entrance of all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

General Walt Disney World News


  • Walt Disney World Resort is introducing a new add-on called Express Transportation. This new option enables Guests who have the Park Hopper ticket to travel conveniently between theme parks by picking them up and dropping them off by Disney Transportation from directly inside the parks. Express Transportation is available at all four Walt Disney World theme parks from 10:00am until parks close. For single-day service, Express Transportation can be added onto a Park Hopper ticket for $15 per person. For multi-day service, it is $24 per person.
  • Guests will soon be able to embark on a gourmet dining adventure with the Highway in the Sky Dine Around, a progressive dinner along the iconic Walt Disney World Monorail loop. Guests will enjoy a five-course dining journey that will feature stops at several resort hotels for cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert, a VIP guide and private viewing of the Wishes nighttime spectacular. Highway in the Sky Dine Around is available on select nights and costs $150.00 per person, plus tax. To book it, call 407-WDW-DINE.

  • Cabanas will be introduced at the Magic Kingdom beginning November 27 in Tomorrowland. Cabanas will be able to accommodate up to 8 Guests and will be available for a daily rental price of $649. Amenities include private and shaded seating, cold beverages, snacks and reserved viewing for parades and fireworks.
  • Comfortable, shaded space within the park
  • Lockable storage trunk
  • Electronic device charging stations
  • Personalized Mickey ears
  • Access to sunscreen, hand sanitizer and insect repellent
  • Small refrigerator
  • One fruit basket
  • A one-time delivery of ice cream novelties and desserts

Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • Pandora – The World of AVATAR will open in summer 2017. When Guests travel to the new land they will be able to experience Satu’li Canteen – a quick service restaurant in Pandora will feature Na’vi art and cultural items; Windtraders – a merchandise location where travelers can find Na’vi cultural items, toys, science kits and more; Pongu Pongu – a special drink location with a design that is as eclectic as its Expat owner; AVATAR Flight of Passage – an attraction that provides excursions that offer the jaw-dropping experience of riding on a Banshee over the world of Pandora; Na’vi River Journey – a family friendly experience that will send Guests down a sacred river hidden within a bioluminescent rainforest.


Disney Springs

  • A new shop is coming soon to Town Center. Opening November 23, D-Living will be the ultimate home décor store with an assortment of Disney-themed products that changes with each season.
  • Beginning November 20, Guests will get a chance to see a brand new drone show called “Starbright Holidays – An Intel Collaboration.” This first-of-its-kind light show will feature 300 Intel Shooting Star show drones that features the synchronized choreography and is set to a specially orchestrated arrangement of classic holiday music. Starbright Holidays can be seen nightly at 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. through January 8.


General Walt Disney World News


  • Guests will soon be able to take advantage of the new MagicBand 2 that is more versatile and customizable. MagicBand 2 works exactly the same as the current MagicBand does, but includes more comfort and flexibility. Guests may continue using the previous MagicBands, if they have them.  MagicBand 2s should be available in the next few months.

Magic Kingdom 

  • Beginning November 4, the new Castle Projection show called “Once Upon a Time,” will debut at the Magic Kingdom.  This nighttime show features beloved characters and musical moments from tales such as Cinderella, Peter Pan, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast and more. Celebrate the Magic will have its final performance on November 3.
  • Guests who attend this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will have the chance to meet Nick and Judy in Tomorrowland.


Epcot

  • This holiday season, Guests will have the opportunity to experience the new Holidays Around the World Marketplaces. There will be five different marketplaces that Guests can choose from.


Disney's Hollywood Studios


  • PizzeRizzo in Muppets Courtyard will debut on November 18. This classic family pizzeria, owned and operated by Rizzo the Rat from the Muppets will serve personal pan pizzas, salads, and beverages. 
  • For a limited time starting November 5, Guests will be able to catch a sneak peek of Disney’s newest animated film, Moana at One Man's Dream.


Disney Springs

  • New for the holidays at Disney Springs this year will be the “Disney Springs’ Christmas Tree Trail.” The Trail will feature custom trees themed after:

    • Disney Villains

Magic Kingdom

  • Princess Elena of Avalor will greet Guests in Princess Fairytale Hall beginning  November 24. Guests will be able to choose between meeting Elena and Cinderella or Rapunzel and Tiana.


Epcot

  • The Disney Visa Cardmembers meet and greet has moved to a new location next to Journey Into Imagination with Figment. The location will operate from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, an all-new nighttime spectacular will take place beginning on November 14. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will take Guests on a yuletide journey to the North Pole with the elves and reindeer from the animated special, “Prep & Landing.” During Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, memorable holiday moments from favorite Disney films including “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” “Bambi,” “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “Beauty and the Beast,” Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and more, are brought to life on the facade of the Chinese Theater. The fireworks will run through December 30.
  • Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will offer a nightly Dessert Party for $69 for adults, and $39 for children, including all taxes and gratuities. 
  • Guests will be able to meet Santa Claus at the Once Upon A Time shop on Sunset Boulevard from November 14 through December 24. Santa Goofy will step in for Santa when he returns to the North Pole December 25-31.


Disney's Animal Kingdom


  • Dinosaur’s refurbishment is now expected to be completed November 20.
Disney Springs

  • Master Sommelier George Miliotes has announced he is bringing a new bar to The Landing called Wine Bar George in the fall of 2017.  Wine Bar George will offer wines from around the world, including an unparalleled wine list consisting of more than 100 selections, and a menu featuring small plates, cheeses and charcuterie.

  • The Liberty Square Riverboat will be closed for its annual refurbishment from January 3-12.

  • The Muppet Mobile Lab is back and brings Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker into the parks to conduct experiments and perform scientific demonstrations. It is a as part of a test in Future World. Due to the fact that this is a test, there are no set showtimes.

Disney Springs
  • Guests will be able to experience a limited-time royal engagement called "A Princess Royal Reception" where  they will get to meet Disney princesses at World of Disney from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m."A Princess Royal Reception" will be offered for a limited time Oct. 1-Nov. 1.
  • A third parking garage and pedestrian bridge will be built to support the future growth of Disney Springs. The garage will add approximately 2,000 parking spaces. Similar to the existing garages, the new one will feature the same smart technology that makes finding an open space easy and hassle free. Work is slated to begin in 2017 and will be complete by 2019.


General Walt Disney World News

  • Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders will receive special perks to celebrate the resort's 45th anniversary. These new perks include:
    • New dining and merchandise benefits – Passholders will receive 10 percent off food and nonalcoholic beverages at select table-service restaurants at theme parks and Disney resort hotels and 20 percent off purchases at Disney owned-and-operated merchandise locations. These new benefits will continue even after the anniversary comes to an end on Sept. 30, 2017.
    • Even more savings  – In addition to the ongoing benefits, passholders can save up to 20 percent off the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages at select restaurants in the theme parks, resort hotels and Disney Springs, as well as dinner shows. Passholders can choose from 45 restaurants participating in this special offer during the 45th anniversary year that runs now through Sept. 30, 2017. And, for the first time, savings are available at select quick-service locations.
    • Get 13 months for the price of 12 – Guests who purchase a 12-month pass will enjoy 13 months of  passholder magic. New passes must be purchased between Oct. 2, 2016 and Jan. 3, 2017.

Magic Kingdom



  • The Muppets brand new show called “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History” will debut on October 2. It will showcase The Muppets sharing their own unique take on the founding fathers as they recount the tale of the signing of the Declaration of Independence or their version of the midnight ride of Paul Revere.
  • Stitch’s Great Escape become a seasonal attraction beginning October 2.
  • The Magic Kingdom will celebrate its 45 anniversary on October 1. There will be a special presentation that will take place on Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage at 9:30 a.m. Guest speakers, musical performances and appearances by favorite Disney characters will occur. There will also be a limited release “I Was There” t-shirt and trading pin available for purchase at the Emporium. Finally, there will be 45th Anniversary themed treats available at Main Street Bakery and Gaston’s Tavern.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Disney Early Morning Magic will continue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning October 8. During this event, Guests who book this special event will be able to enjoy Star Tours – The Adventures Continue and Toy Story Mania! as well as being able to meet Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Olaf before the park opens. Park admission is required in addition to a reservation for Disney Early Morning Magic. Pricing is $69 plus tax for adults and $59 plus tax for children (ages 3-9).

 Disney Resorts

  • Disney is now offering a great new breakfast option at Kidani Village for Guests to enjoy. Sanaa will feature a kuamsha (which is Swahili for “to awaken with”) breakfast with both casual dining options, as well as quick grab n’ go items.

  • Kali River Rapids will continue to operate during morning Extra Magic Hours until DINOSAUR reopens from its refurbishment on October 17. 
Disney Springs
  • Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs will reopen this fall as Planet Hollywood Observatory, and the restaurant has announced that celebrity chef, Guy Fieri has developed several flavor-packed burgers and sandwiches for the new menu. New dishes including the Prime Time American Kobe-Inspired Burger and the Turkey Pic-a-nic Sandwich. Planet Hollywood Observatory will reopen this fall.

General Walt Disney World News

  • Disney’s Water Parks are now offering wheelchair rentals at both Singapore Sal’s at Typhoon Lagoon and the Beach Haus at Blizzard Beach. Rentals will be $12 with a $100 refundable deposit, and they are transferable across the parks with a receipt, upon availability. 
Rumors

  • A new Fitbit style MagicBand could be on the way that has a puck that's interchangeable with the band.

  • “The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” show will be ending its limited engagement on September 5.

  • Through August 31, Disney PhotoPass Service will offer a character experience for Guests who have purchased Memory Maker, Memory Maker One Day or have an Annual Pass with Memory Maker included where Guests will be able to meet Belle in her formal gown at Heritage House in Liberty Square.
  • Beginning August 12, for a limited time, “Princess Elena Royal Welcome” will be presented several times daily on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage. During the ceremony, Cinderella and Prince Charming will introduce their special guest from Avalor.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Muppet*Vision 3D will be closed for refurbishment from August 15-22.


Disney Springs


  • Blaze Pizza is now open in the Town Center section of Disney Springs. This pizza restaurant is known for artisanal pizzas that are fast fire’d in 180 seconds.
  • Origins, a high-performance skincare store is now open in Town Center. Origins offers bath, body, hair, makeup, and other beauty products.

General Walt Disney World News

  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be adding a new family-friendly water attraction called Miss Fortune Falls which is expected to open in spring 2017. Miss Fortune Falls brings to life the story of Captain Mary Oceaneer, a treasure-hunting heroine who got stranded at the water park years ago by a rogue storm. Once aboard their rafts, Guests will embark on a journey through Captain Oceaneer’s past before plunging into a white-water adventure where Guests can see unique artifacts that Captain Mary Oceaneer collected on her many treasure hunts around the world.  
  • Four new restaurants have been added to Tables in Wonderland. Members will receive the 20 percent discount at the following: Skipper Canteen at the Magic Kingdom, Tiffins and the Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs.

Disney's Hollywood Studios
  • This fall, PizzeRizzo, a new quick service location in Muppets Courtyard will debut serving delicious pizza and salads.
  • Goofy, Chip & Dale are meeting on Commissary Lane across from Writer’s Stop, while Daisy & Donald are now by the main entrance in front of Sid Cahuenga’s porch.
  • Guests will be able to take part in Disney Early Morning Magic, a special event for Guests seeking an in-park breakfast and first access to select attractions and characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios prior to the park opening beginning August 1. During this event,  Guests will be able to enjoy Star Tours – The Adventures Continue and Toy Story Mania!, as well as being able to meet Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Olaf. Pricing is $69 plus tax for adults and $59 plus tax for children (ages 3-9).
  • Club Villain reservations have been opened for every Friday and Saturday during September and October, with two shows performed nightly at 5:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Additionally, two shows will be offered on Halloween night, October 31. 

Disney's Animal Kingdom
  • Dinosaur will be closed for refurbishment from July 25 - October 16.

Disney Springs
  • Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming is now open in Town Center at Disney Springs. Homecoming is open Sunday through Thursday until midnight and Friday and Saturday until 1:00 a.m.
  • The Polite Pig will open in Town Center at Disney Springs in spring 2017. Serving lunch and dinner, The Polite Pig will feature a variety of wood-fired smoked and grilled items. The new venue will also introduce an innovative beverage program offering all drinks on tap – including beer, wine and cocktails.
  • UNIQLO is now open in Town Center at Disney Springs.  The two-story store features core products in a variety of colors and styles. Guests will also find special concept corners unique to UNIQLO at Disney Springs that bring the brand’s Japanese heritage to life alongside an assortment of Disney-inspired products.

  • Starting this week, Guests may navigate Walt Disney World Resort with the addition of a new way finding feature, “Get Directions,” on the My Disney Experience mobile app, which will help Guests find directions whether walking or taking Walt Disney World Resort Transportation.

  • The newest entertainment group to perform on the Morocco stage is called Musique Arameco. The show incorporates the darbuka drum, violins, and a belly dancer to create a fusion of traditional and popular dance music and melodies.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • The Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party will be hosted in the Star Wars Launch Bay. After Guests enjoy their sweet and savory treats from the comfort of Star Wars Launch Bay, Guests are escorted to a VIP viewing area for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular!


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • A new lunch menu called Taste of Tiffins, featuring a smaller portions of Tiffins' most popular dishes is now available. From 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day, Guests will have the option of pairing two options from the menu along with a Jade rice blend for just $28 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  Guests can select from the following ten dishes: flash-fried blue mussels, black-eyed pea fritters, crispy Yellowtail Snapper, sustainable fish crudo, 72-hour beef short rib, salad of roasted baby beets, market vegetable curry, marinated grilled octopus, Chermoula-rubbed chicken, or the masa and pulled pork tamale.

  • Taste Track near Test Track has a brand new menu. Taste Track will serve sweet treats, soft drinks and hard sodas and is open daily from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Guests can now book dining packages to enjoy guaranteed seating for the holiday’s Candlelight Processional, which will be offered at America Gardens Theatre from November 27-December 30. This year’s current list of celebrity narrators includes:

  • Coca-Cola Store Orlando is now open in Town Center, featuring a wide variety of Coca-Cola merchandise and a rooftop beverage bar. 
  • The Levi’s Store will be opening in Town Center this summer. The new store will also feature a Tailor Shop, allowing Guests to have their favorite shorts, tees, truckers and accessories personalized and tailored by a team of specialized craftsmen.
  • The following locations are now open in Town Center:
    • Sugarboo & Co. is a dealer in whimsy and fine fanciful goods, from uplifting art prints to charming home goods and whimsical paper products.
    • Columbia Sportswear offers innovative apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment for outdoor and fishing enthusiasts.
    • Shore is a fashionable American lifestyle brand featuring swimwear, fitness wear and everyday comfort clothing, with a selection of exclusive apparel only available at Disney Springs.
    • Superdry features clothing with designs that fuse vintage Americana and Japanese-inspired graphics with a British style, offering products from outerwear and knitwear to leather goods and leisurewear.

  • Guests wanting to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World can party with Disney Countdown to Midnight – A New Year’s Eve Celebration at Disney’s Contemporary Resort which begins at 8 p.m. at the resort hotel’s Convention Center. Tickets will be $225 (including tax and gratuity).

  • Could a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction be headed to Epcot's Universe of Energy?

 Magic Kingdom

  •  Guests who complete at least three of the five missions included in A Pirates Adventure ~ Treasures of the Seven Seas at the Magic Kingdom will receive a FastPass+ bonus for Pirates of the Caribbean.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  •  For a limited time starting July 1, a sneak peek of Pete’s Dragon will be presented as part of One Man’s Dream.


General Walt Disney World News

  • Between June 26 and September 1, Guests can buy a souvenir popcorn bucket that may be refilled throughout the day across the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests may purchase the bucket for $10 with refills available for $1.50 each.
  • Walt Disney World Resort beaches are now available to Guests one hour after sunrise until one hour prior to sunset. Walt Disney World Resort hotels with marinas are now offering all boat rentals for Guests, including Sammy Duvall’s Watersports.
  • The Walt Disney World resort will be holding spectacular fireworks demonstrations to celebrate Independence Day. Guests will have two chances to catch the spectacular fireworks extravaganza at the Magic Kingdom that is “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” at 9:00 p.m. At Epcot, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth  lights the night at 10 p.m. with a heart-pounding grand finale in a salute to America. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be celebrating the 4th of July with the “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” fireworks spectacular at a special time on July 3 and 4 at 9:30 p.m.

Magic Kingdom


  • Guests visiting Princess Fairytale Hall will be able to meet Cinderella with Princess Aurora and Rapunzel with Tiana. Anna and Elsa no longer have a greeting location at Magic Kingdom and will only meet at Epcot’s Royal Somerhaus.
  • Snow White will be meeting Guests at the Town Square Courtyard next to City Hall.


Epcot

  • Soarin includes the new Soarin’ Challenge, a travel-related trivia game where players can test their global knowledge by answering questions shown on the displays in the queue or use their personal mobile devices to compete against hundreds of other players. 
  • At the China pavilion, Guests can experience a new gallery called “Inside Shanghai Disney Resort,” which provides a look at Disney’s newest theme park. The gallery showcases exclusive artwork and props, as well as a look at the classic and cutting-edge attractions within Shanghai Disneyland.


Disney Resorts

  • Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter’s Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory food court will be closed for refurbishment beginning July 11 and lasting until the fall. Alternative food and beverage options can be found at the resort and its sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside. 


General Walt Disney World News


  •  Please note the following adjustments about Disney's waterways:
    • Walt Disney World Watercraft service is now operating as normal.
    • Resort beaches are unavailable to Guests. Movie Under the Stars are being shown in their indoor location.
    • Guests may rent pontoon boats and Boston Whaler boats at available marinas. However, Sea Raycer rentals are not available. Sammy Duval water sports are also unavailable.
    • Guests are not permitted to fish on any resort waterway with their personal equipment at this time.

Magic Kingdom

  • Guests are able to experience a prix fixe lunch at Tony’s Town Square and receive a voucher for reserved viewing of the Main Street Electrical Parade. This package is $45 for adults and $17 for children.
  • The Plaza will soon have more availability for walk-in Guests starting July 17.  Guests may still make Advance Dining Reservations, but they will only be offered from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.


Epcot


  • The new act, Les Parfaits Inconnus combine music, circus art and comedy on The Mill Stage in Canada.


Disney Springs


  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has moved to a new location in the Marketplace near Once Upon A Toy. The new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is themed as a country parlor and includes an expanded salon. It also features a photo room and new interactive elements that are found throughout the Boutique.

Magic Kingdom

  • Advance Dining Reservations are now available for lunch and dinner at Jungle Skipper Canteen.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Minnie’s Summertime Dine will occur at Hollywood & Vine beginning June 6. This character dining experience features Minnie Mouse and friends dressed for fun in the sun.


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • Debuting June 26, Guests will be able to enjoy the new Savor the Savanna Evening Safari Experience. During this new adventure Guests will travel in a private safari vehicle through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve and then relax at an exclusive viewing area overlooking the savanna while they will enjoy a selection of tapas and specialty drinks including beer and wine. The cost is $169 per Guest.

Disney Springs

  • STK Orlando at The Landing is now serving lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Vince Camuto will make its debut in Town Center on June 6. Specializing in footwear, the trendy lifestyle brand also offers handbags, fragrances, sportswear, clothing, accessories and more for women and men.


Rumors

  • Frontera Cocina is expect to open June 20.

Magic Kingdom

  • The new Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire show is coming to the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage at the Magic Kingdom on June 17.
  • The Liberty Square Riverboat is closing for refurbishment from August 1-7. 
  • The Swiss Family Treehouse is scheduled to close for refurbishment from July 6 through to September 24.


Epcot

  • Frozen Ever After and the Royal Sommerhaus will be opening in the Norway Pavilion on June 21.The Norway Pavilion will open daily at 9:00 a.m., along with the Future World area of Epcot.
  • Epcot Guests will be given a chance to enjoy farewell flights on classic Soarin starting May 27 trough June 16. Soarin’ Around the World will debut on June 17.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • The new Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will begin nightly performances on June 17.
  • One Man’s Dream will be closed for refurbishment July 16-19. 
  • MuppetVision 3D is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment August 15-22.


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic live show will officially debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Saturday, May 28. The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic will be a 20-minute long show that will feature memorable moments from the film and will be filled with music and special effects. Showtimes are at 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
  • The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail will be renamed to Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.
  • Dinosaur is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment from July 25 through September 29.


General Walt Disney World News

  • The Flying Fish at Disney’s Boardwalk will feature an all-new kitchen and dining room (with expanded space for private dining events) and sparkling architectural accents when it reopens from its refurbishment. Next door, the new AbracadaBar lounge opens in the former location of Seashore Sweets and it combines the Golden Age of Magic with Disney storytelling. 
  • Disney Grad Nite H2O will debut at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on select Friday nights in April. The event will be themed as a beach party and will feature Disney characters, music, DJ entertainment, and dance parties, along with the water park’s attractions. The special ticketed event will be offered for $55 plus tax and schools can register online by visiting Disneygradnite.com to reserve space.

Epcot
  • New details have been released for the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. This year, the “Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!” hands-on workshops will take place at the Festival Center and will offer guests a chance to learn a variety of culinary skills from chefs, bakers, mixologists and other pros. Global marketplaces will extend into Future World again. Guests can choose a favorite hard soda to mix with vanilla ice cream for a sweet treat at Desserts & Champagne marketplace. A savory vegan dish will debut at the Greece marketplace, and the Farm Fresh marketplace will showcase new savory dishes. Culinary icons like Cat Cora, Norman Van Aken, Masaharu Morimoto, Elizabeth Falkner, Buddy Valastro and Jamie Deen will entertain foodies and inspire their palates at new and returning premium events will include reimagined Party for the Senses tastings with new concepts and themes.Wang Chung (Everybody Have Fun Tonight!) will open the Eat to the Beat concert series on September 14-15. More new acts in the concert series lineup, include Delta Rae and Toad The Wet Sprocket. Other popular acts that are returning including Wilson Phillips, Boyz II Men and Jeffrey Osbourne.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Three additional food and beverage offerings called Echo Lake Eats will debut. Beginning May 20, Guests will have the option to choose from Hollywood Waffles of Fame, serving delightful sandwiches, with one on a waffle; Bocados del Lago Nachos y Empanadas, serving mouth watering nachos and empanadas; and Sliders to the Stars, serving delicious BBQ and brisket sliders.

Disney Springs

Magic Kingdom 

  • Tickets are now on sale for both Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
  • A new Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage show will be introduced for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party called “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.” It will feature Mickey and his pals who invite some of their friends over for an unforgettable Christmas party filled with music, dancing, color and fun. 


Epcot

  • Characters from Finding Dory have begun appearing in Turtle Talk with Crush including Dory, Destiny the whale shark, Bailey the beluga whale, Hank the “septopus” (a seven-legged octopus), Squirt and Nemo and his dad Marlin during this fun-filled show.
  • Alberta Bound is now playing at The Mill Stage in the Canada Pavilion. The five piece live band plays traditional music from across Canada, Wednesday through Sunday. 
  • Pluto will now meet at the gazebo when you first walk into World Showcase and Daisy meets at the front of the park.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  •  At Celebrity Spotlight located near Echo Lake, Guests are now able meet Olaf from Frozen. 
  • In addition, Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams is now located just off Commissary Lane where Guests will be able to walk the red carpet and step into a scene with Minnie Mouse, where she appears as a Tinsel Town starlet and then visit Mickey Mouse dressed as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice next door.
  • Pluto now meets in the Animation Courtyard where Minnie once met. 


General Walt Disney World News

  • Ample Hills Creamery, the new ice cream parlor for Disney’s BoardWalk will open May 15.


Rumors 

  • Chip n' Dale will relocate from Frontierland to Tomorrowland. Woody and Jessie will leave their Splash Mountain location to take over Chip n' Dale's old spot.

Magic Kingdom

  • Elena of Avalor, will appear this August afollowing her television debut in a new animated series this summer on Disney Channel. 
  • The Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party has been expanded. All Guests attending the event will enjoy desserts at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. Then, Guests with same-day reservations will move to the Plaza Garden area to watch the show, while Guests who booked in advance will view the fireworks from the restaurant.  
  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire Castle Stage Show will debut in June and will invite Mickey and his Merry makers to prepare to host a festival and are inviting friends from other lands to join the celebration. 


Epcot

  • Soarin’ Around the World officially opens at Epcot on June 17. 
  • Frozen Ever After will open in the Norway Pavilion in June 2016.


Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • We have more details on the two new attractions that will be opening in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The family coaster will be called Slinky Dog Dash. The second attraction is called Alien Swirling Saucers and will find the aliens which are flying around in their toy flying saucers and trying to capture your rocket toy vehicle with “The Claw.” The third track for Toy Story Midway Mania will be opening Memorial Day Weekend.
  • For a limited time starting May 6, a sneak peek of Disney’s all-new movie adventure Alice Through the Looking Glass will be presented as part of One Man’s Dream.


Disney's Animal Kingdom 

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom nighttime festivities will begin on Memorial Day weekend. Here’s what you can expect to experience.
    The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic For the summer, Discovery River becomes the stage for music and pageantry in a limited-engagement show inspired by Disney’s hit live-action film The Jungle Book. Jungle Book: Alive with Magic is a live show filled with music and special effects that celebrates the new film and the classic songs.

    Tiffins Signature Restaurant


Disney Springs

  • Three new food & beverage kiosks will be opening next month at Disney Springs. The kiosks will be known as Aristocrepes, The Daily Poutine, and B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. Aristocrepes will serve savory and sweet crepes. The Daily Poutine brings the Canadian classic to Disney Springs with four varieties of toppings on hot, thick-cut French fries. B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. will feature artisan sausages. The Daily Poutine and B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. will open on May 15, while Aristocrepes is expected to open on May 22.

  • Olaf should begin meeting Guests by May 8 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom

  • Guests will soon be able to participate in a special ticketed event called Disney Early Morning Magic. During this event,Guests will be able to enjoy Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Fantasyland, as well as a breakfast at Pinocchio’s Village House. Disney Early Morning Magic will take place on select mornings prior to the park opening:
    • April 26, 30
    • May 3, 7, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31
    • June 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28
Pricing is $69 plus tax for adults and $59 plus tax for children (ages 3-9).


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • Rivers of Light has been delayed and will no longer debut on April 22. More details will be released mid-May. 
  • To celebrate Earth Day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Party for the Planet invites Guests to  discover fun and engaging activities about nature within every land of the park. There will be special food and merchandise offerings, engaging activities, and Jiminy Cricket will make special appearances at Rafiki’s Planet Watch throughout the week. 


General Walt Disney World News

  • Changes have been made in how Guests may now make FastPass+ selections going forward.
    • Guests will now be able to choose individual FastPass+ experiences and times, and won't need to make all selections for the same day at the same time.
    • Guests will continue to be able to select up to three experiences in advance, however, they now will be able to book fewer than three selections, if they so desire.
    • Third, when Guests have used their first three FastPass+ selections, they will now be able to make an additional FastPass+ selection (their fourth rolling FastPass)  via the My Disney Experience mobile app. It will no longer be necessary to utilize only the in-park kiosks, though you will still have that option going forward, as well. Once you’ve used the fourth, they will be able to select another, and so on.
  • Ample Hills Creamery, a Brooklyn-based company will open a location at Disney’s BoardWalk featuring their signature products, including a one-of-a-kind flavor exclusive to the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests will stroll the promenade enjoying unique flavors such as Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, Malty Salty Pretzel Punch and Coffee Toffee Coffee. The restaurant is expected to open this spring.


Rumors


  • Anna and Elsa may be moving out of the Magic Kingdom's Princess Fairytale Hall when the meet and greet location at Epcot opens.

Magic Kingdom

  • Tickets will be available for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Party dates are September 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29 and 30; Oct. 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31. In addition, the costuming guidelines include that Guests ages 14 and older are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body as they may be subject to additional security screening. Additionally, costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be held on select nights in November and December and for 2016, is currently scheduled to take place on the following dates: November 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 27 and 29; December 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18 and 22
  • Guests will soon have the opportunity to enjoy Disney After Hours, a special, ticketed event on select nights throughout April and May. The event will enable participants shorter than typical wait time for popular attractions and character greetings. Ice cream treats and bottled beverages are included during the three hour event. Disney After Hours will take place on April 14, 21 and 28; May 5, 8, 12 and 19. A separate event ticket is required for Disney After Hours. Pricing is $149 plus tax. To purchase tickets, Guests may call 407-827-7185.


Epcot

  • Guests will now have the option to use their own smartphone during Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. Guests may still opt to receive a F.O.N.E. or Field Operative Notification Equipment as well.


Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • In celebration The Jungle Book, artisans will carve a sand sculpture inspired by the film at the Oasis. The sand sculpture will be on display for Guests to view through April 24.
  • At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, beginning April 22, each night, there will be two evening parties that will occur. The Discovery Island Carnivale on Discovery Island invites Guests into a dance party experience that features Latin drumming and worldly rhythms. The Carnivale will celebrate the magic of nature and will include Spirited Islanders, who are dancers and stilt walkers; The Viva Gaia band; and Danza del Arpa, a Paraguayan harpist. Over in the Africa section, in Harambe, Guests can enjoy a lively street party courtesy of the Harambe Wildlife Parti. During the Parti, Guests will come in contact with a number of entertainment acts including the Karibu Sisters who will sing and dance through Harambe; Muziki, a music man who joins the Harambe drum circle; and The Harambe Meetkats, who are a soccer team by day, but turn into the Harambe Village Acrobats at night.


Disney Springs


  • One of the new restaurants slated for the upcoming Town Center is called D-Luxe Burger. This new dining establishment that will be opening in May is going to offer to Guests gourmet burgers and unique shakes.



Rumors


  • The Inside Out characters should be meeting Guests beginning April 3.
