News

Magic Kingdom
  • Pecos Bill's will be closed for refurbishment Sept. 28-30. The location will reopen on Oct. 1 with a new menu serving fajitas, burritos and rice bowls.

Epcot

  • Beginning Oct. 4, Epcot Guests will be able to meet Daisy Duck at the gazebo near Showcase Plaza. As a result, Duffy the Disney Bear’s last day at Epcot will be Saturday, Oct. 3.

Disney's Hollywood Studios
  •  Minnie Mouse will begin to meet guests in an all-new character greeting location themed after "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" in the Animation Courtyard beginning on October 8. 
  • Jedi Training Academy is being re-imagined with a new experience that includes new characters and a new villain from “Star Wars Rebels.” To prepare for this, the current version of Jedi Training Academy will accept its last Padawans on Oct. 4. Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple will open later this year


General Walt Disney World News
  •  Disney Vacation Club will be opening up a second round of DVC units at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. These units are expected to include waterfront cabins. To help accommodate, new additions will be made including a guest boardwalk, as well as a new “bar grill” and a new pool.
  • Disney has unveiled their newest marketing campaign called “Unforgettable Happens Here." Through this campaign, Guests are invited to create their own unforgettable moments on their vacations.

Rumors 
  • Will Soarin be down for 4-6 months to prepare for the new theater? 
  • Toy Story Mania's third track could open by the end of the year.

News

Disney's Hollywood Studios
  •  The Merry & Bright Dessert Party to celebrate the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from November 6 through December 24 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and from December 25-30 from 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. The party will include holiday-themed desserts, specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, sodas, water, tea and coffee. The price is $69 per adult and $39 per child (ages 3-9). Tax and gratuity are included. 
  • There will also be the Merry & Bright Dinner Reception on January 1 from 8:30 p.m. through 10:00 p.m. and on January 2-3 from 7:00 through 8:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy a holiday buffet including shrimp, beef, turkey and more, as well as specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beer and wine. Each Guest in the party will receive a custom keepsake shadow box featuring their own Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights bulb. The price is $99 per adult and $54 per child (ages 3-9). Tax and gratuity are included. 
  • The Star Wars Launch Bay is expected to open in December.

Downtown Disney
  • Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will open to Guests on September 22.

General Walt Disney World News
  • Beginning November 22, Guests will be able to enjoy Narcoossee’s Waterfront Brunch on Sundays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Brunch begins with a specialty beverage – Champagne, Mimosa, or signature Bloody Mary for adults, or a smoothie for kids. A shared pastry basket, filled with house-made chocolate and traditional croissants, muffins, Danish, pecan sticky buns, is served with Vermont cultured butter and seasonal jam. There will be a selection of appetizers, including onion soup graitnee, shrimp and grits, seafood charcuterie, artisanal cheese selection or romaine salad. Entrees will include brioche French toast, lobster eggs benedict, chicken and waffles, freshly caught seasonal fish, steak and eggs and more. A trio of desserts is available for a sweet ending.  The cost is $69 for adults, $41 for children (ages 3-9).
  • Pop Secret is now the official popcorn for the Walt Disney World Resort. The popcorn brand will also sponsor Fantasmic!

Rumors

  • Star Wars Weekends may end up being retired. 
  • The third track of Toy Story Mania may open by the end of this year.

News

Disney's Hollywood Studios
  • The Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights will be ending at the end of this holiday season. To celebrate, two dining options will be available for guess to enjoy. One is the Merry & Bright Dessert Party (from November 6 – December 30) and the second is the Merry & Bright Dinner Reception (January 1- 3).
  • The band Mulch, Sweat, & Shears will be ending their run on October 11. 
  • Star Wars Land will break ground in 2016. 

General Walt Disney World News
  • A new fireworks dessert cruise called Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise, will begin on October 5. Guests can enjoy specialty desserts and beverages and conclude the evening with a viewing of Wishes nighttime spectacular. This package is available for $99 per person for ages 10+ and $69 for ages 3-9 plus tax and gratuit

Rumors

  • Could a change be coming to Tomorrowland called Andy's Room? Permits seem to indicate it may be.

News

Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • For a limited time beginning November 1, Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant will offer breakfast.  Breakfast will cost $12.99 per child and $23.99 per adult.  Breakfast features an all-inclusive array of breakfast pastries and choice of appetizer, entrée and non-alcoholic beverage such as:
    • Puff Pastry filled with Scrambled Eggs, Crab, Asparagus and Gruyère Cheese with Roasted Tomatoes and Avocado.
    • Grilled Beef Tenderloin on Baby Spinach, with Bacon and Cheddar Custard on a Roasted Tomato and Cheesy Horseradish potatoes.
    • Scrambled Eggs, Crispy Bacon, Sausage Links and Breakfast Potatoes.
    • Macadamia Crusted Brioche French Toast with Mascarpone and Fresh Berries.


Downtown Disney

  • Morimoto Asia will open for guests at Downtown Disney on September 30.  Menu items will include traditional Asian dishes such as Peking duck, moo shu pork, lobster chow fun, sweet and sour crispy whole fish, and kung pao chicken. Dim sum will be served during weekend brunch service, and will include a variety of dumplings, shumai, bao, spare ribs and more. Kids will have a variety of Asian-infused dishes including chicken ramen, kakuni pork bao, and karaage fried chicken. Morimoto Asia will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. daily serving lunch, dinner, and a weekend brunch.
