Disney characters are, hands down, celebrities. This is especially true for the littlest fans. So, meeting Disney characters at Walt Disney World is an important part in many people's vacation. There is something so exciting about the chance to hug, get an autograph from, or pose for a picture with your favorites. But what is the best way accomplish this? There are really three major ways to meet and greet characters...you can stand in line, head towards a character meal, or sometimes you can even just happen upon them.
Today I thought I'd start a new series where I take a look at the
different characters that are located in the parks, let you know where
they are located and a few tips that may come in handy to make meeting
them go just a little smoother.
One thing you need to keep in mind is that
characters are subject to change and not all may appear at the same
time. For exact meeting times, be sure to pick up a Times
Guide or check the My Disney Experience app or website. Oh and if you are on the lookout for a specific character and you don't see them listed or on the Times Guide, make sure to ask at Guest Relations, because you just never know who could be potentially out greeting guests.
First, let's start with the Magic Kingdom characters. The Magic Kingdom sees the most meet and greet opportunities and for good reason...it is the most popular theme park around. Guests can meet characters ranging from Mickey Mouse all the way to the newest Disney celebrities, Anna and Elsa here. It's really a smorgasbord of Disney fun.
