Magic Kingdom
- News broke out this week that Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management had a small fire break out in the attic area. Rumors I'm hearing say that the Iago 1 bird (the one who is the main bird for the show) had damage that makes him, shall I say, unable to fly any longer. I would expect the Tiki Room to be closed for at least a month, possibly longer, while Disney takes a look at what steps they will take for this attraction. (Please bring back the original show!!! I miss it! Just my two cents)
- All the rumors appear to be certain on the new "The Magic, The Memories, and You!" projection show. It is scheduled to start 20 minutes before the fireworks (right now, it's scheduled for 7:40 pm.) The show will indeed last 10 minutes and feature up to 500 Photopass photos taken throughout the day and the new song that was written for the celebration, called "Let the Memories Begin" will play during the show. More details about this celebration may come out this week, as there is supposed to be a media event that is being held.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
- The Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun debuted this Sunday. The parade debuted to mixed reviews...but I have heard that we may possibly be waiting on a few floats from DCA's Pixar Play Parade to appear, but only time will tell.
- The Wild Africa Trek, a new tour, has officially started this week. For a detailed look at the tour and more info, make sure to check out Zannaland, who got to take a tour this week.
General WDW News
- Cirque du Soleil will be down for a refurb from Jan. 16th - 24th.
- New banners are appearing in the parks promoting the new "Let The Memories Begin".
- Typhoon Lagoon has closed for it's annual refurbishment. It will reopen March 27th.
Rumors
- I'm hearing conflicting rumors. One source says that the Haunted Mansion will be getting Fastpass again....but then on the other hand, another source says that it will not be getting it. Again, only time will tell.
- Fantasyland Forest now has an official opening date of 2013 for most experiences. Also, Disney has removed the concept art, so we can assume that it has officially changed. But I'm also hearing that we might not have a Snow White Train Ride going in, like it's been rumored. Really it's all very much up in the air at the moment. Keep reading the blog because it's being rumored that tomorrow, during a press event, we may be getting more info on what will be happening with the Fantasyland Expansion.
- Tinkerbell's meet and greet at DHS is set to start Feb. 15th in the rear of the Magic of Disney Animation Queue.
- Been hearing rumors that Oswald may be coming to the parks in the form of getting his own SpectroMagic float when Spectro returns. Hearing that the float would supposedly go from black to white.

Sabotage!! And may I shake the saboteur's hand? ;)
Don't get your hopes about WDW bringing the original show back into their Tiki Room.
It became way too unpopular at WDW in the 1990's and Imagineering had no choice but to either renovate the Room or demolish it altogether (the former being a far better option than the latter).
